Rural Exodus

250.00

At the time when India became independent, eighty percent of its population resided in its rural areas, but at the moment rural population was forced to make an exodus and rushed to cities and now the rural population have only come down to little more than around sixty percent. Two important changes had taken place to such exodus in urban society .

Firstly they brought in all the rural legacies, perceptions, behavior and thinking to the society and acted accordingly in cities, because it was the country of all without any exception; and, secondly they dominated in forcing their will by hook or crook. The present fictional story tries to portray the changes that had taken place. On a priority they tried everything to convert themselves to Western ways, which they thought to be urban, but most of them neither remained purely rural folk, nor became a Westerner, except with the costume drama. One most important change that had taken place was common adoption of corrupt practices and abandoning the values arising out of honesty. Now the society has lost the concepts of difference between ‘civilized’ and ‘uncivilized’.

Law of Lie Detectors

450.00

Narcoanalysis, Polygraphy and Brain-Fingerprinting, generally known as lie detector tests, have recently been under scanner and debate among professionals, scientists, legalmen and the civil society as to the genuineness and reliability of these tests. One faction claim these tests to be fool-proof, while the other consider them as pseudo-science, besides being hazardous to health.

Part `A` of the book deals with the scientific nature, used methodologies to conduct these tests and their drawbacks, while Part `B` contains legal aspects of the tests, supported by courts decisions, both, Indian and foreign.

Relevant parts of Forensic Psychology and conventional methods of interrogation for lie detection have also been included. The book has been designed to help professionals, security men, prosecutors, members of civil society and of course the collective legal fraternity.

How Iran Met Sanctions

550.00

Hero pursued his quest of knowledge in different fields of physical sciences as hobby. He worked nonstop in his laboratory and workshop; and as a habit always tried to use junk materials. He had made many inventions, which was found and appreciated by a government engineer during a raid in his house. When UN imposed sanctions on Iran and all the technicians and engineers working there were withdrawn, the government concerned took his services. He fabricated many new systems in field of defense and otherwise.

The book is based on several research papers written by me more than three decades ago; I decided to incorporate the theme in the plot of story. Iran was found most suitable place for the plot of the story.

Hijri Date Riddles: Arithmetical Astronomy

600.00

The voluminous works of Islamic literature reveal minutest details of happenings and events related with life spam of Prophet of Islam, but I failed to find a reason why no serious effort was made in the past to confirm, or to ascertain most important dates in relation to life of Prophet, such as his date of birth or death; or, the starting point of Hijri calendar etc.
Recently I was asked by two gentlemen to explain, why there is no consensus among Muslim Ummah about even the dates of birth and death of Prophet (PBUH). It was a very genuine inquisition. Pick out any book or open the net, you would find different dates mentioned there, which is the cause of utter confusion. For a long time I had been collecting materials because I was planning to write a book on this subject. The above asked question proved to be enough stimuli to start writing this book.

After lapse of more than fourteen centuries, there seems no hope to confirmedly ascertain the said dates, unless we take help from astronomically collected data and then comparing the data with other calendars. Arithmetical Astronomy, as the name itself signifies, is a pure science, but due to some false notions developed in the past among general Muslims, a negative stigma had been attached to it, as this scientific subject had been considered to be one related with conjectural predictions for future. In Arabic, a single word “Nujoom’’ had been in vogue, which was considered to be connected with unknown (Ghaib), and as such its study was considered by Muslim as obnoxious or repugnant. In reality there are two different subjects, viz. Astronomy, and Astrology, for both of which Arabic or Persian word “Nujoom” is used, thus such aversion.
Astronomy is purely arithmetical science, without which solar or lunar eclipses cannot be calculated in advance; or, when rockets are sent to other planet, their exact positions in the wide cosmos cannot be calculated. While Astrology can be said to be what is being generally understood by “Nujoom”, as it is based on speculation or conjecture and to some extent Astrology may be attributed to the unknown, though that is also debatable. It is found written in records that this knowledge was revealed by God to one of his messengers, — prophet Idrees (AS).

In the Islamic scholarly treasure trove I found some of the astronomical data preserved though in a limited way, through which I tried to calculate the dates arithmetically based on well settled and accepted principles of Astronomical science.

A Woman In Time Transit

920.00

Literary historical fiction. The story relating to spirit of a woman, who is born time & again in different time and geographical zones in different societies through rebirths. The lax spirit acted in the same manner every time she was born. In every episode characters would also be found who happen to be antithesis of the promiscuous heroine.

The first episode starts with the anthropological antiquity, when humans lived in groups and also when language was not evolved. They dreaded their leader, the heroine and called her ‘Shuh’.

In the second birth the spirit was born in household of a priest in Egypt and trained by her father in religious rituals and beliefs, but after attaining puberty she was forced to return to her originals by compulsions of her ‘Physis’. After her death she was taken to be a goddess and the town was named after her—Nekheb—ruins still exist.

In the third book she takes birth in Sparta, but due to her own doings and compulsions of fate she was called ‘Helen of troy’. Since homer many writers had used the story, but my pen has tried to give it a new dimension.

Advent of Aryans

1,750.00

The book is based on historical facts about compulsive migration of Aryan tribe Purus residing in the vicinity of Caspian Sea. They planned to send a three man troupe mission to the land of ‘rivers’ beyond the great mountain Himalayas.

When Zaire, the leader of the probing troupe reached the land of rivers, he found a beautiful land mass with a lot of greenery, abundance of water resources, and vast cultivable agricultural land. As the probing troupe entered Indian continent before eighteen centuries before Christ, they found living Indus Valley Civilization flourishing among the cities of Mohanjo-Doro and Harappa, which were cosmopolitan urban cities.

The black aboriginal people resided in those ancient cities had followed their own customs and rules for the society. On their return and submitting their report of findings, Purus tribe decides to immediately migrate before other Aryan tribes got the news of their migration. When the probing troupe was there, one of the members got entangled with the local girl and got married with her

Science Alone Proves Word Of God

The book at hand relates to religious Scriptures and their texts, claiming to be Word of God. The said claim can only be judged if the contents of the Scriptures are compared with the most modern findings in different fields of physical sciences, and ascertained whether the texts are found in agreement or not. The book at hand relates to religious Scriptures and their texts, claiming to be Word of God. The said claim can only be judged if the contents of the Scriptures are compared with the most modern findings in different fields of physical sciences, and ascertained whether the texts are found in agreement or not. It is so because the history of modern physical sciences could hardly be traced to the last five hundred years of human history, that too with the hectic efforts of great number of people all around the globe; while, the texts found in all religious Scriptures, without doubt, belong to antiquity. For judging the contents from this angle, it was found that only pure texts conform to the above mentioned rule. Therefore it became necessary to trace the histories (in brief) of collections and preservation of the Scriptures, claiming to be Word of God. The endeavor proves one other important thing: that all Scriptures teach one and the same thing, irrespective of the fact that outer shells of followers of these Scriptures are different on every plain. In that sense the book would help to dilute, if not altogether defuse the ongoing tensions among followers of different faiths. Besides, it would create a rational approach towards religion.

Energy Concepts In Vastu Shastra

1,950.00

The book Energy Concepts In Vastu Shastra answers the question—how healthy living with environmental energies is possible When one turns his inquisitive eyes towards the collective physical existence embodied in the flawless cosmos, he finds himself convinced that human being is part of an elaborate grand plan. The environment of this planet, its vicinity, and the whole universe functions as one cohesive unit, which is governed by well-defined set of unfaltering natural laws and rules. When someone, by mistake or due to ignorance, tries to defy such inherent balance and harmony of energies, interacting with matter and thereby the natural laws, the resulting outcome inevitably becomes disastrous. Human race, from distant past dwelling in different parts of this planet had observed, studied and reached on the conclusion that a relationship exists between energy (Chi), balance and human health; thus, accordingly they devised such laws and rules so that they may be benefited from this knowledge, viz. using positive energies and containing negative energies.

They had even chosen and selected sites on the basis of the presence of positive directional energies. On these observations Vastu Shastra and the like disciplines were developed in the distant past. These disciplines in the present context may be put as a branch of Environmental Science. The book at hand has made it a possibility to maintain mental and physical health through observing certain rules in constructing dwelling or other type of buildings. In most of the descriptions it was ensured that ‘do it yourself’ approach is taken, so that the problems faced by the reader could be redressed by himself through incorporating changes.

DNA Evidence And Its Admissibility

1,950.00

every individual human being has about 6 billion bases of DNA, which are contained in his or her 46 Chromosomes. Out of these 6 billion only 3 million may be identified from individual to individual because they form unique sequences. The rest of the DNA sequences are common with the sequences of all living beings. This makes very difficult to differentiate and identify individuals with absolute certainty. Additionally the methods adopted to test and identify individuals have inherent flaws on the first hand and on the other not all the sequences in regions which are supposed to differentiate individuals are targeted, ‘probed’ and tested (at the most four or five regions are tested).
In this way the testing data obtained are random and not complete or absolute. Because of this reason the DNA fingerprinting results and the reports which come before the courts as evidence is in terms of probabilities. The opinion of DNA expert is in form of a numerical statement known as “match probabilities”.

The presented book is a questionnaire on the infallibility of DNA evidence to be conclusive proof of guilt, to shed-off the exotic myth, deliberately created as aureole around DNA evidence.
